Hospitalization

Comparison of Machine Learning Techniques for Prediction of Hospitalization in Heart Failure Patients

Present findings suggest that MLTs may represent a promising opportunity to predict hospital admission of heart failure patients by exploiting health care information generated by the contact of such patients with the health care system.

High‑ and low‑inpatients’ serum magnesium levels are associated with in‑hospital mortality in elderly patients: a neglected marker?

The present study aimed to analyze the relationship between serum Mg and in-hospital mortality (IHM) in patients admitted to the medical ward of two hospitals in the Veneto region (Italy). A logistic regression model was used to assess the unadjusted and adjusted association of serum Mg and IHM. Serum Mg levels seem to be a good predictor of IHM.
